THE PROBLEM
Reform debate in Nepal tends to live in news cycles and social feeds, where it spikes and vanishes. There was no durable, citable place where concrete proposals could be examined on their evidence — which makes it very hard for ordinary citizens, and especially younger ones, to engage with policy beyond reacting to headlines.
THE APPROACH
Structured the platform around 27 evidence-based reform proposals as first-class, individually addressable content rather than a blog — so each one can be linked, discussed and returned to over time.
Prioritised reach over sophistication: server-rendered pages that load fast on mid-range Android over inconsistent mobile data, because the audience that matters most is not on a laptop.
Kept the backend deliberately small — Supabase for data, Resend for transactional mail — so the project's running cost stays near zero and it can outlive any particular news cycle or funding burst.
Built it to be durable rather than campaign-shaped, on the assumption that policy engagement is a multi-year effort, not a launch moment.

OUTCOME
The platform has been acknowledged by national leaders and became the anchor for a wider civic-tech effort — SellMyVote grew out of it as a companion tool. It remains the reference point that reform conversations can be pointed back to.
