MSN-06 // MISSION DOSSIER
SafaHawa
Environmental reporting platform with photo/video analysis, story curation, and community leaderboards.
THE PROBLEM
Environmental problems are intensely local — a burning pile, a blocked drain, an illegal dump — but reporting them usually disappears into a form nobody visibly acts on. Without transparency, people stop bothering, and the feedback loop that would create accountability never closes.
THE APPROACH
Made reports public and browsable by default, so submitting one is a visible civic act rather than a message into a void.
Applied photo and video frame analysis to submitted media, so evidence can be triaged and categorised at volume instead of depending on a human reviewing every entry.
Added story curation and community leaderboards to reward sustained participation — environmental accountability is a habit problem more than an awareness problem.
Used motion deliberately via Framer Motion to make the reporting flow feel responsive and worth completing on a phone, where most reports are filed.
STACK
OUTCOME
Turns scattered individual complaints into a visible public record, giving local action something to point at and communities a reason to keep reporting.
